Syncore

WooCommerce plugin (Syncore Connector)

Syncore Connector is a WordPress plugin that connects a WooCommerce store to Syncore without WooCommerce REST API keys. Syncore can also connect with REST API keys (the "WooCommerce REST API keys" option); the plugin is recommended when a firewall, caching or REST limits block the calls.

Requirements: WordPress 6.0+, WooCommerce 7.0+, PHP 7.4+.

What syncs

From → to What
Syncore → WooCommerce Products (simple and variable), prices, stock, categories, order status changes
WooCommerce → Syncore Orders (new and updated), through WooCommerce webhooks the plugin registers

Which side owns each field is set in Syncore (WooCommerce page → field rules):

Field Default
Price Syncore
Stock Syncore
Title WooCommerce
Description WooCommerce

The plugin does not delete products: products Syncore stops offering are set to out of stock.

Install

  1. In WordPress: Plugins → Add New → Upload, upload the Syncore Connector zip and activate it. WooCommerce must be active.
  2. In Syncore open WooCommerce, choose "Syncore Connector plugin", enter your store address and press Create signing key.
  3. In WordPress open WooCommerce → Syncore and paste the Syncore URL, the connection token and the signing key Syncore shows. Save: the order webhooks are registered automatically.
  4. Back in Syncore press Connect. Syncore tests the connection before switching it on.

Save the plugin settings as a Shop Manager or Administrator: requests from Syncore run with that user's WooCommerce permissions.

The signing key is shown only once. If you create a new one, the old one stops at once and you must update the plugin too.

Security

  • Every request between Syncore and the plugin is signed with HMAC-SHA256 using the signing key, known only to your store and your Syncore account.
  • Requests older than 5 minutes or replayed requests are refused.
  • The plugin sends only orders (through the webhooks), and only to the Syncore URL you entered.

Deactivation

Deactivating the plugin deletes the order webhooks it created. Uninstalling also removes its settings.
